Fan-Gate Nippers

Fan gates as wide as 3 inches can now be cut accurately and efficiently with the TC-63 Thrust Cutter and the TCH-63 Heated Thrust Cutter. The TC-40 Thrust Cutter and the TCH-40 Heated Thrust Cutter can cut gates as wide as 1½ inches.

Our mountable unit is trim and lightweight to lend itself to most robot arms and degating fixtures.

Each comes with pre-tapped mounting holes supplied on 3 sides for fixture mounting ease and is made from a distinctive red anodized aluminum. A superior quality double-acting cylinder powers both nippers.

The cutting (bottom) blade is guided with precision slide gibbs and is limited with an adjustable blade stop. Cutting blade speed is controlled with the adjustable flow control valve.

The TC series blades are precision machined from durable alloy steel and Teflon coated to prevent plastic material from sticking on cutting surfaces,

Blades are easily replaced and are offered in High Speed and Carbide Steel versions for abrasive and otherwise hardened materials.
Both left- and right-hand units are offered for easy loading of parts with opposing gates.

An optional heating package will make even the most difficult applications easy. Heat, coupled with the standard Teflon®-coated blades reduce the required cutting force, producing a smooth and gradual cutting action, providing the smoothest finish possible. Heated blades also greatly reduce “whitening” and other stress marks on your parts, especially acrylics and other clear materials.		 Our heating system provides up to +400°F from the small, lightweight, 115 VAC control unit. Blade temperature is easily adjusted and clearly displayed onthe control panel. The unit is machine mountable.

The TCH-63 and TCH-40 come as a complete pack-age and are included with many safety considerationsincluding: Teflon®-coated leads, lead wire clip, andinsulated cutting blade.
