Repair Process

  1. V groove the break with hand grinder or V groove tool. This provides a larger surface area for a stronger repair.
  2. Position and align part. Clamp it.
  3. Clean area with clean, dry rag.
  4. Tack weld.
  5. Do repair weld.
  6. Grind down excess and sand smooth.
Thermoplastic welding requires hot air properly directed and a light, constant pressure of the welding rod. With the correct tools and materials it's easy.
